Kings of Instagram: Alex Ovechkin, P.K. Subban, Connor McDavid tops in followers among NHL stars

Washington Capitals center Alex Ovechkin leads the list of NHL stars by followers, but the top ten is as notable for those who are absent as those that made the cut. Big-name stars like Sidney Crosby, Patrick Kane, Evgeni Malkin, Brad Marchand, John Tavares and Steven Stamkos are nowhere to be found as none have an account on the popular photo-sharing service.

As it is, P.K. Subban and Connor McDavid have the next most followers after the 31-year-old Ovechkin. Joining McDavid in the top ten are fellow young guns Auston Matthews and Patrik Laine at No. 6 and No. 8 respectively.
