Diaz defied the oddsmakers by defeating Conor McGregor in the second round of the thrilling main event. Diaz dazed McGregor with a series of punches before finishing the Irishman on the ground with a rear naked-choke.
McGregor was uncharacteristically humble in defeat, while Diaz, being Diaz, gave a classic post fight interview.

Tate was effusive in praising Holm after the win, and vice versa.
