If one measures a sport’s cultural penetration by its being spoofed on Saturday Night Live, then Ninja Warrior’s obstacle-racing competition has officially arrived. In the SNL sketch, Jeff (Bobby Moynihan) competes on American Ninja Warrior after his hometown has been wiped out by a twister. Matt Iseman (Beck Bennett) and Akbar Gbajabiamila (Drake) narrate Captain Tornado’s hapless repeat efforts on the Quad Steps obstacle.
Both real-life ANW commentators took to Twitter to acknowledge their growing fame…

Aside from hosting ANW and having been parodied by Drake, former NFLer Gbajabiamila has another claim to fame — as a cop avenger.
Gbajabiamila described to TMZ Sports exactly what happened when he decided to get in his car and chase after an SUV that hit an LAPD motorcycle officer.
