The StairMaster became an ubiquitous piece of fitness equipment shortly after its 1983 debut, but now a real-life, flesh-and-blood stair master has taken Instagram by storm.
Not content to merely run stairs, Norwegian sprinter Ezinne Okparaebo crushed a flight of stadium steps with a fluid series of superhuman leaps. In true Norwegian Ninja Warrior style, it takes the 27-year-old Okparaebo just five jumps to ascend 30 steps.
Aside from her god-given athleticism, she adds to her vertical virtuosity with spring-loaded squats…

Following appearances in the 2008 Olympic 100-meter quarterfinals and 2012 semifinals, Okparaebo set a Norwegian record in the 60-meter dash with a blistering time of 7.13 seconds at the 2013 European Championships. At the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil, she ran a 11.43 in the quarterfinal.
At least a portion of Okparaebo’s training takes place in Stellenbosch, South Africa — a picturesque university town nestled among the country’s best vineyards.
