On Saturday, the Texas Rangers held a contest for season tickets at Globe Life Park in Arlington and Byron Anderson of Fort Worth walked away a winner after blasting a home run off of the pitching machine.

Participants – which could not be active college or pro baseball players – got three swings for the fences and were required to place a 25 percent deposit down on a half- or full-season plan in order to enter.

Retired MLBer Michael Young, who plied his trade as an infielder for the Rangers for more than a decade, stopped by for some swings and was unable to go yard. For the record, Young finished his career with 185 home runs, all but sixteen of which came with the Rangers.
