Earlier this season, Kacy Catanzaro became the first woman to conquer American Ninja Warrior’s warped wall obstacle. Her accomplishment seemed to break a psychological barrier for other female competitors as Michelle Warnky and Meagan Martin were also able to scale the wall and complete the course.

In the Vegas National Finals, Martin returned the favor by breaking yet new ground for the girls — she become the first woman to navigate ANW’s devilishly difficult spider jump obstacle.

While Martin ran out of time on her run, she may have helped prepare the groundwork for Catanzaro to make it all the way to the buzzer on Stage One.

Almost as fun as watching Martin’s performance was listening to ANW host Akbar Gbaja Biamila’s over-the-top reaction.

What she did was phenomenal.”

So in answer the question posed by this post’s headline, Martin — along with Ali, Jordan and Johnson — is a hero of former NFL player Biamila. Like the aforementioned she also happens to be a ridiculously gifted athlete.
