Xander Bailey may suffer from cystic fibrosis, but that was the furthest thing from his mind this past weekend. Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the 18-year-old was signed to play with his favorite MLS club, the Seattle Sounders, in their friendly against the Tottenham HotSpurs.
During a scrimmage on Friday, Bailey delivers the first pass in a sequence that led to a goal by Obafemi Martins. But the biggest thrill for the midfielder from West Virginia was simply sharing the field with USMNT members Clint Dempsey and DeAndre Yedlin.

Definitely you can tell the level of play is way up there. I definitely had a really good time out there playing with them… It was just a good time doing what I love to do.”
