Simone Biles and Kyla Ross form the strong nucleus of a USA women’s gymnastics team that won gold this past Wednesday at the World Gymnastics Championships. Biles followed her team contribution with an individual all-around gold on Friday — becoming the first girl in 11 years to achieve the feat in back-to-back years.

Ross, part of the Fierce Five that wowed the world at the London Summer Games, didn’t do too badly herself. She won bronze in the all-around while hampered by a hip injury suffered shortly before the competition began.

The normally routine medal celebration was interjected with some drama when a bee became smitten with Bile’s bouquet. Luckily, Ross was there to comfort the gold medalist and distract the bee with her own flowers.
